A yearning for travel and distant cultures led Carl Morenikeji to a dusty market in North-West India where he found beautiful vintage furniture and leather goods. He bought a handful of old satchels and vintage treasures and when he returned home, he gave these to his family and friends who were delighted with their gifts. In 2006, Carl reflected on his last trip to India, which inspired him to return and seek out artisans practising traditional craft skills with the hope that they could collaborate. Carl wanted to bring the impressive craftmanship and fascinating culture from India back to Scotland for others to enjoy. 13 years later and Carl created Scaramanga a renowned lifestyle brand based in Fife, Scotland.
